Congratulations to Harrison Middle School Robotics teams 1125D and 1125F! These student teams have earned the right to complete at the World Championships in Dallas, TX on April 30-May 3. The VEX Robotics World Championship, presented by the Northrop Grumman Foundation, brings together the top teams from around the globe to celebrate their accomplishments and participate to be crowned champions.
In preliminary qualifying competitions, team 1125D won the Innovate Award which recognizes a team’s ability to implement an effective and efficient robot design process. Their engineering notebook and discussion with the Judges demonstrated the team’s ability to produce a quality robot with minimal adult assistance. Team 1125D members are Dacey Cates, Kinsley Jennings, Makayala Howard, and Wynn Mahoney.
Team 1125F earned their right to compete at the world competition with Robot Skills. The Robot Skills category involves the team's ability to drive their robot to achieve the points, along with programming the robot to perform specific needed tasks. Team 1125F members are Truett Bardwell, Elec Emmons, Logan Faria, and Eric Ashby.
Both teams are sponsored by HMS teachers Wendy Collins and Carrie Pellerin.
We are so proud of these students and their efforts!
