The Harrison School District’s Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment Department has established easy-reference guides to help teachers, parents and students understand the key expectations of our grade levels and courses.

These Year at a Glance (YAG) documents are based on Arkansas Curriculum Standards developed by the state Division of Elementary & Secondary Education, which guide what students across Arkansas should learn.

Our YAG guidelines were developed by grade-level teams to ensure all Harrison students meet these agreed-upon Essential Standards at the same point of school year, fostering consistency between schools and classes.

The YAG documents are organized by grade level, then subject and then into four nine-week quarters. They help teachers develop new lesson plans for their classes, as well as show parents and students the skills on which these lessons will focus.
