Banner featuring young students smiling in front of a school building with text that reads: "We are learners. We are Harrison. Harrison Public Schools is an 'A' District!" Next to them is the "Arkansas Gem School" logo, accompanied by text below stating: "Multiple 2025-2026 Arkansas Gem School designations across our district! One district. One community. One Goblin family."

We're proud to share that the Arkansas Department of Education has named Harrison Public Schools an A District for 2026. That's a jump from the B we earned last year, and it places Harrison among just 26 of the 254 school districts graded across the state to earn an A.

This rise reflects the work of our students, teachers, staff, and families, and the growth and achievement they've shown in our classrooms every day.

Building Letter Grades

  • Harrison Kindergarten: A
  • Forest Heights Elementary: A
  • Skyline Heights Elementary: High B (a few students away from an A)
  • Harrison Middle School: High B (a few students away from an A)
  • Harrison High School: High B (a few students away from an A)

Every Rated Building Is an Arkansas Gem School

Each of our rated buildings earned Arkansas Gem School recognition, placing them in the top 10% statewide for achievement, growth, or sustained improvement. Together, our schools will receive $121,913.77 in state Recognition and Reward funds.

  • Forest Heights Elementary and Harrison Kindergarten each earned top 6–10% designations for both Achievement of All and Growth of All, plus recognition in math, ELA, and science.
  • Harrison Middle School and Harrison High School each earned top 6–10% designations for Achievement of All. The High School was also recognized in ELA.
  • Skyline Heights Elementary was recognized for math achievement and Sustained Improvement.
