The University of Arkansas, in collaboration with Historic Cane Hill, presented the sixth annual showcase of the exceptional talents of high school students across Arkansas. 

Two Harrison High School Art students have been chosen for this prestigious juried exhibition. Out of the 36 selected for this show, Harrison High School students made it to the top 6  and were awarded monetary prizes.

The jury selected two art pieces created by Senior, Aaliyah Simpson for the show.
"Verdant Harmony," an acrylic landscape painting, 16X20, won the Juror's Award.

"Elegy of Wings," sculpture, 26X20X20, won the Juror's award as well as receiving $250.00


Senior Josephine Faria created "Lost in the Rows, " a 10 1/2 X 20 photograph. She won the Curator's Award and received $500.00.

The Exhibition may be viewed at The Historic Cane Hill Gallery, open Thursday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It will be viewable until Saturday, January 18, 2025. The selected student's artwork is featured in an online digital catalog accessible to the public. It may viewed at
