A group of elementary students from Forest Heights and Skyline Heights celebrated Valentine's Day with a visit to The Springs of Harrison this morning.
In preparation for their visit, students had worked to digitally design a large number of decorated Valentine's cards to share with residents of The Springs. This activity, conceptualized and organized by Harrison Schools district instructional facilitator Emily Barrett, was funded through a grant from the Harrison Public Schools Foundation.
Greeted upon their arrival by Amanda Chitsey (President, Three Wishes for Ruby), the children were then also welcomed by Alesha Collins, Activities Director at The Springs.
The student enjoyed going from room to room to meet the residents, deliver their Valentine cards, and visit for a few minutes.
We are very grateful to Harrison Schools Foundation, Three Wishes for Ruby, and The Springs of Harrison for providing this opportunity for our students.
