Harrison School District is accepting applications for a Middle school guidance counselor grades 5-6 for the 2024-2025 school year. The position will be a full-time (1.0 FTE) counselor position. Primary duties will focus on students' learning, personal/social/emotional needs, and scheduling.
Applicants must possess appropriate Arkansas DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred but not required.
Harrison School District is seeking an individual who has/will:
● Arkansas License / Certification
● Adhere to and support board policy, school guidelines, and administrative rules and directives
● Maintain availability to all students seeking guidance and counseling services
● Facilitate outreach efforts to provide services to students, parents/guardians, and staff
● Understand, evaluate, and interpret academic performance data and information about students to the student, their parents/guardians, and staff
● Participate in in-service activities promoted by the District
● Submit required reports promptly and accurately
● Schedule students in appropriate classes
● Strong collaboration skills
● Experience in examining, interpreting, and using student assessment data
● Display excellent people skills
● Demonstrate effective communication within the school community
● Proficient with technology
● Attain or possess Google Level One Certification
