Harrison students attend leadership conference

Several students from Harrison High School are attending a leadership conference at Signature Tower today, sponsored by Ozarks Unlimited Resources (OUR) Cooperative. They are accompanied by Gifted and Talented coordinator Kristin Motley, Agriculture teacher Megan Morris, and College and Career Readiness Coach Ashley Massengale. The conference, presented by notable speaker Jon Harrison, teaches students how to lead with empathy, mobilize peers toward a common purpose, communicate their visions powerfully, and employ ethics in decision making. The goal of the session is to better prepare students for the workplace, as well as provide them with valuable skills and resources to be thoughtful leaders in their communities.

Jon Harrison, a former executive of Caterpillar, Inc (a Fortune 500 company), passionately believes in the necessity of a reliable, engaged workforce. His approach, the VIP Way, and more information about his program can be found at https://jonharrisonvip.com/

Special thanks to OUR coop, Monica Springfield, and Emilee Tucker for providing this opportunity for our students!
