Now Hiring: Middle School Special Education Teacher

Harrison School District is accepting applications for a special education teacher position for the 2024-2025 school year. The position will be a full time (1.0 FTE) teaching position. Applicants must possess appropriate Arkansas DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred, but not required.

Harrison School District is seeking an individual who will:

  •  Create and deliver specialized instruction in accordance with CEC High Leverage Practices

  •  Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to achieve at high levels

  •  Provide quality special education services in inclusive environments

  •  Formulate positive relationships with parents, students, and staff

  •  Use progress monitoring data, building and state-level data, and behavior data to drive student programming

  •  Develop and maintain compliant due process paperwork

  •  Schedule and lead IEP meetings in accordance with Arkansas DESE rules and regulations

  •  Effectively use learning management systems and digital resources for the provision of digital

    learning
