Harrison Preschool students enjoyed tie dye day this week! The tie dye project began with Elisabeth Merrill from Es Groovy Tuesdays teaching the students about the tie dye process. Students learned about tools that are used, how to tie up the shirts, and what the shirts look like before and after.
After the mini-workshop, each child dressed up like young scientists with protective vests, gloves, and goggles. Then, they worked carefully to decorate their shirts using various colors of bottled dye.
When finished, the shirts were placed in plastic sealable storage bags labeled with each student's name. These will then be laundered, dried, and presented back to the student to keep.
Enjoy these pictures! We are proud to present our budding tie-dye young artists!
