HMS students tour mobile aquarium

Students at Harrison Middle School learned about Arkansas' aquatic habitats through a visit from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's mobile aquariums on Wednesday.

The AGFC’s mobile aquarium provides students with the opportunity to see some of our state’s native aquatic life. Species in the aquarium vary depending on what the AGFC have available at any given time, but generally, the aquarium features channel and flathead catfish, largemouth and striped bass, crappie, buffalo, walleye, gar, drum and common carp, as well as aquatic turtles. AGAF team members are available to provide facts and information about the species found in the tank as students tour and answer any questions they may have.

Thank you to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for bringing this great educational activity for our students!

The Arkansas Game and Fish Mobile Aquarium Program is offered free of charge (when available) at qualifying community events. For more information, click here.
