Harrison High School freshmen Emmalynn Parker is job shadowing today at Harrison Animal Clinic. This opportunity was organized by our HHS college and career readiness counselors.
Job shadowing allows students to observe professionals in their chosen field, gaining a firsthand understanding of daily tasks, responsibilities, and the overall work environment. Students can learn about the culture, dynamics, and expectations of a specific workplace, which can be invaluable for future job applications and internships. By experiencing different careers firsthand, students can also make more informed decisions about their future career paths, potentially narrowing down their options or discovering new possibilities. An added benefit - job shadowing experiences can add value to a student's resume, demonstrating initiative, real-world experience, and a proactive approach to career exploration.
We are grateful to all of our community partners who provide these valuable experiences for our students.
