HHS Students at Build My Future event

Exploring career option possibilities greatly benefits students who will soon enter the workforce. Hands-on, real life experiences are an ideal way to gain information and thereby make good decisions. Harrison schools is committed to assisting students in finding their career paths and best directions for the future.

The "Build My Future NWA" organization provides students the opportunity to spend a day observing and working in the construction industry through an interactive showcase of safe and realistic simulations. Learning labs involving roofing, welding, carpentry, heavy equipment, safety technologies, and much more allow students to explore the career possibilities in construction.

Six students from Harrison High School (Michaela Alsobrook, Makayla Rollins, Gracelynn Eddings, Brayden Lewandoski, Jeremy Thompson, and Lance Williams) attended Build My Future's annual Construction Career Day and Industry Showcase this week in Springdale. At the event, they were able to network with trade professionals and participate in hands-on interactive activities. Students worked together to build stud walls, use power tools, complete virtual reality simulations, and much more.
