Announcement from Arkansas Dept. of Education
The Christmas season is fast approaching. With this in mind, we would like to extend an invitation to our athletes, Athlete Advisory Council, district faculty and the whole Harrison Community to join the athletic department in helping some of our students in the Harrison School District experience a better Christmas. Twenty plus years ago, Beta Upsilon Sorority started a Christmas Shopping Spree. Students were chosen from each campus to go on a $100 Shopping Spree at Wal-Mart. This past year we were able to take over 100 students and hope to help the same amount this year. We would like to increase that amount to $125.00 this year and still be able to take 100 students shopping. This is how the program works: Students will be chosen by each schools’ administrators, nurses and other faculty. 7th/8th grade and high school students will be given a gift card to Wal-Mart to be used as they desire. Students K-6th grade will be taken by bus (with Santa driving) to Wal-Mart to shop alongside a JR or SR athlete. We will then finish the morning off with pizza and plenty of Mountain Dew at the Cash Center. The number of students chosen this year will depend on the amount of donations received. If you or your group are interested in making a donation, please send your check to Harrison High School, c/o Kathy Williams, School Administrative Assistant, 925 Goblin Drive, Harrison, AR 72601. Checks can be made payable to the HHS Christmas Fund. No donation is too small. Please make your donation no later than December 6th. Thank you and may God bless you and your family with a very Merry Christmas. Chris Pratt

Parent, Student, or Staff Member, In Monday’s storms, Harrison and the Boone County region received significant flooding and damage to water crossings, roads, and properties. Harrison Schools has communicated with Boone County & Harrison City officials about roadways and repair timelines. Harrison Schools will be open tomorrow (Wednesday, November 6th) for student instruction.   Due to the damage to water crossings and rural roads, some bus routes will be left up to bus driver discretion.  We ask parents and students to do their best to safely attend school.
