We are wrapping up our unit on the Middle Ages because next week starts our two weeks of Mad Scientist! Today we learned how the bubonic plague, or the Black Death, led to the end of this time period. It was spread by fleas on rats, wiped out 1/3 of the population, decreased trade, increased wages of workers that were spared from the disease, and decreased the power of feudalism. Brighton was patient zero today with Glo Germ powder unbeknownst to her classmates. At the end of class, we used a blacklight to see how the powder spread in just one hour. Don’t forget to wash your hands!

We are kicking off our Red Ribbon Week
Activities on Monday, October 23rd! We are going to have fun and encourage our community to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of our children through a commitment to drug prevention and education. Let's make a personal commitment to live drug free lives with the ultimate goal of a drug free America. Please encourage your child to participate each day!
